Silver Cross Surgery Center is a free-standing ambulatory surgery center joint venture between Silver Cross Hospital, independent surgeons, and United Surgical Partners International—the nation’s largest ambulatory surgery provider. Silver Cross Surgery Center is accredited by The Joint Commission and licensed by the Illinois Department of Public Health; Medicare certified; and in compliance with conditions for Blue Cross Blue Shield and many other insurance plans. Silver Cross Surgery Center is affiliated with nearby Silver Cross Hospital and has a proven safety program for those rare occasions when additional care is needed.  Our surgery center has all the resources needed to provide patients with a full range of surgical procedures on a same day basis. Outpatient surgery minimizes patient time away from home and work by eliminating overnight stays at a hospital. In addition, it reduces patient’s surgical expenses and co-pays on their insurance. It is an efficient and low-cost alternative to hospitalization.
